Lady Pop C.

I made an Adventure Time inspired princess based on my wünderbar muse and best friend, Oishi.
Pop C. used to be human but became an experiment during the Mushroom War, where her DNA was mixed with her pet Elephant’s DNA, this has left her with a very good memory. She uses most of her talents of memorizing on research of pop culture, which is very fascinating to her. She loves to explore what once was very popular during the reign of humans. Her latest found is this thing called comics, her favourite comic is about a man dressed as a bat.

  • my linoleum print

so our latest assignment in art class has been printing traditionally, this is my linoleum print which i’ve created using a linoleum sheet that I have carved into. it was kind of tricky because you have to be really careful to where you carve, or else you might carve out places that weren’t meant to be carved, and there’s no turning back - oh and also, i accidentally stabbed my thumb when carving violently, so be careful if you’re going to try this at home

    easy hao2steps:

    1. carve whatever pattern/picture you want - keep in mind that if you want to carve out a name or word; mirror it, because the print will be a mirrored version of your carving

    2. roll on paint onto your carving

    3. put a blank paper on top of your carving, use anything heavy on top of it, push the heavy thing down on top of the paper+carving for about 20-30 seconds

    4. the first try will always be a failure, try again to get better results

I think I made Martin’s head too small or Arthur’s head too big..

Oh well, it doesn’t matter, I just needed to make a character design sheet for my own benefit; because I tend to change my character’s looks throughout the projects they’re in and it always ends up looking like a whole different character in the end from what it was in the beginning, so now I have this thing to always look back at as a “reference” kind of thing when drawing them. Heheeheeeh. :B

character design, work in progress

Drawing characters of people who already exist isn’t as easy as I imagined it to be. :(
It’s so freaking difficult to simplify human beings… T____T

  • Our P.E. class was canceled, and I had nothing to do so I and went to hang around in the one of the animation studios (the classroom where we work on our stopmotion project), with two of my classmates - since no one ever uses that place on Tuesdays. One friend was deeply into her reading and the other one was surfing the web, mainly tumblr, hahah. I myself found some clay to play around with to pass the time until my next class, and so I decided to craft a tiny LSP. C:

  • stop-motion project

So we’ve finally gotten started on our dolls for our stop-motion assignment. We made the “skeletons” two weeks ago, but then we haven’t done anything more because we missed our last animation class (due to a stupid museum trip that I would like to erase from my brain). So today we worked really hard to catch up with the scheduele. The dolls are obviously not done yet, but we’ve gotten quite far in just one class - so that’s good. :) Oh and the things you see on the pictures are 1. My sketches for how big the skeletons should approximately be - 2. Work in progress with the heads being cut in half so the hook can become their brain, lol - 3. Putting some “meat to their bones” (I had to take the ‘head’ off because we realized that we did the head part wrong since we will at one point need to put the heads into the oven, and the body is way2flammable for that) 4. & 5. the not-yet-finished gang.

  • This was the first draft I made for my Martha Jones-inspired poster that I’m making for our poster assignment in school. I wanted it to have this kind of old warrior’ish feel to it, but I wasn’t too happy with the results, which is why this only remains as a draft. I still kind of like it though. :I

  • I started to draw because the London 2012 Olympics parade took forever to finish.

I just happened to draw Ariel I guess. I regret colouring it though. I really shouldn’t colour things, I only ruin the drawings more. :( And also, her left eye looks a bit derp - but whatever. :B
