As you can see, my character I’ve drawn for my animation is bursting with joy.

This is one of the first assignments we got in our animation class when we had just started school, which means it’s quite old. The project went out on that we all made two identical key drawings and gave one of them away to someone else in class. Then we had to go from our own key drawing to the drawing we had recieved; creating a metamorphosis loop. :)

Starting on a new animation project today for animation class. I hope it comes out decent enough to fit my expectations. Anyways, I just drew the very first frame for it! :D

This is an assignment my teacher gave us where we recieved 3 key frames that he had drawn and our task was to draw frames that would fill in the gaps between the three main frames. This assignment was quite fun but I didn’t really enjoy drawing in this style, it just wasn’t me. :( Not that I even have my own special style, but this just didn’t fit to the styles that I like to experiment with.

The character in the animation belongs to my teacher; Christofer Ahde. :)

I made this animation quite some time ago but I never got around uploading it.

This is the first time I’ve ever drawn a walking cycle, so it might not be the best but it’s a first and it can always be improved! :)

We had our first animation class on September 6th.

We didn’t do much, we went through basic stuff like “what does animation mean? what do we use animation for? what kind of different animation techniques are there?” etc. Then we got to try to make a 1 second long animation each, using traditional light tables. It was nice.

Usually people use 24 frames per second when animating. But we only got 5-10 papers to work on. This animation was 9 frames. Eight of them being the owl itself, and one being the background. I had to slow the animation down to 2 seconds, because 1 second just went too fast and you barely see what’s going on. :B

I drew an owl because I miss Annie and because I found it a bit ironic and funny for an owl to be sleepy at night time, since it’s usually known to stay awake during the night.
